All Brookstone Academy Extracurricular Enrichment and Special Interest Programs offer endless opportunities for exploration and growth! 

Brookstone's Extracurricular Enrichment programs run during the school day and outside of regular school day hours to suit all families schedules and needs! 

While we do not offer classic Extended Care per se, we are happy to offer programming prior to and after school that allows your child to explore a variety of STEAM based interests. Have a look below and contact us today to see how we can enrich your child's days!

Through hands-on, experiential learning and activities, our enrichment and special interest programs allow students to explore, experiment, be creative, and socialize, while developing their knowledge, skills and confidence in an area of interest.  
 

During our Open Exploration days, students can choose to take part in optional formal lessons at a variety of stations or feely explore the various challenges as per their interest on a given day. 
 

During our Interest Specific classes students will be guided to explore and develop their knowledge and skill in a particular area of interest for example, Robotics, STEM, Art or Drama. 

 

All grades of students get the opportunity to intermingle, develop relationships, share and grow their knowledge as they explore the many activities and options.  There are options for every skill level, so any amount of experience is welcome, from beginner to expert! 

 

Areas of interest that we currently are running programs in: 

• Tech Station: Robotics & Coding - Learn to code video games and robots, and build robots and circuit boards

• STEM Station: STEM, STEAM & Engineering Challenges - Planning, Building, Testing and Redesigning Projects  

• Deconstruction Station: Peek in side all manner of electronic items to see how they work

• Music Station: Exploration & instruction in a variety of instruments 

• Drama / Dance Station: Exploring various forms of Dance and Dramatic techniques, including puppetry

• Visual Arts Station: Exploring a variety of mediums, including painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, photography and film making.

 

As a not for profit, our top priority will always be to meet the needs of our students! Enrichment and Special Interest classes will be run as per demand during PD Days, prior to and right after school, evenings and/or weekends. Please note, we can even offer something that we may not have thought of yet if there is demand for it!
